Pros

They have pretty good health insurance and you get a 40% discount. It is fun to see the latest fashion trends.

Cons

The management has lost sight of what this company used to stand for and it’s sophisticated heritage and values. It’s now all about screwing people over and making the next dollar. It has lost its love for art and creativity. They underpay their employees.

Pros

Employee discount, employee discount, 401k match, days off for volunteer work. Not much else positive to say about this place!

Cons

CEO has made multiple bad decisions that have lost money for PE owners forcing layoffs and belt tightening at an already very cheap cheap company. Benefits outside of 401k match are bad and get worse every year and are far from competitive. Vacation policy just got worse, employee discount slowly being reduced. This is just a dismal place to work. The debt burden is too high, business is terrible and NM is behind the curve, gaining no market share, and run by the same people for the past 20 some years who have no vision to change course!

Pros

Iconic name Generous employee discount Great brand community Beautiful merchandise & store layout

Cons

Weak leadership, awful management with big egos. Most employees are intimidating, condescending and unprofessional. Company resists change to improve business. They lack vision, direction, have no clear, defined strategy. Lack of teamwork and willingness to give Associates the resources to be successful. Company shows no appreciation and are not respectful to their associates and the brand community. Poor communication - listening is not a priority, lots of interruptions, leaders disregard input from team. Micromanaging culture. Unclear expectations. Lack of systems training & processes.
