Pros

Discount, beautiful clothes, middle level people are great, 2pm Fridays from Memorial Day to Labor Day, annual reviews (but often raises are no more than 2%)

Cons

Taken for granted, employees given pay cuts when CFO and CEO are given large raises, HR has very little control over erratic behavior in upper management

Pros

Discount, the sales people, well-developed corporate functions (i.e. HR, Learning & Development, Legal, Corporate Public Relations),

Cons

Everyone is intimidated and demoralized by the cold and aloof general manager. The store is full of unhappy people. If you are in a support role and you have to work closely with the general manager/management team, you will work very hard with no reward or recognition. Working at Neiman Marcus White Plains requires an extremely thick skin.

Pros

Opportunities to learn a lot.

Cons

Management treats employees like second class. Hard work is not rewarded, only back stabbing is. Everyone is only interested in protecting their own job. Management doesn't do anything to try to boost others career paths because they see that is a threat to their own job. Benefits are terrible. Company will screw you out of money every chance they get.
