Not as patient focused as they lead you to believe. Very discouraged on how the behind the scenes function and behaviors are

Culture of Nurse Incivility

Pros

Good salary and benefits. Better than average time off for new employees.

Cons

Nurse on nurse bullying and incivility are ignored. Management is more concerned with being part of the group than promoting a team environment, willing to sacrifice the nurse bullied and allowing impunity even when physical violence is threatened. The bullied nurse is therefore further isolated and victimized.

Pros

Benevolent, altruistic provider of healthcare for children. Excellent in caring.

Cons

Typical bureaucratic top heavy organization. More diverse in gender particularly than most, ( which some may feel is a good thing ), but then liberal minded and politically motivated upper management. Apparently do not feel the rank and file have a voice, if so should not be heard.
