Pros

Once upon a time this was a leading-edge and competitive technology.

Cons

Where to start? Many of the exec were brought in after a huge round of lay-offs; rather than address real problems, they simply blame the previous management, and continue layoffs, bringing bobble-head/yes-men so they won't ever be challenged. An example; they thought it was a GOOD idea to play in Gartner's Cloud DB MQ, which simply placed as "visionary"; highlighting how mediocre and irrelevant the product has become (blame the lackluster, inexperienced CMO for that bad call among many others). The product side is no better, with the crucial partner ecosystem having all but abandoned us. Not a place for anyone long-term.

Pros

Engineering is full of talented people. The CEO is a nice guy, but no longer driving the ship. Recent personnel decisions reflect the disconnect. A majority of the company is full of kind, dedicated people. The demand for the product will continue to increase, and Neo4j's product is best in class.

Cons

Decision making is decentralized and some areas are poorly led (HR, Marketing). Sales Leadership has some stars. Losing the President/COO hurts. Lots of people with inflated titles. Leadership is not implementing the systems you used at your previous employer. Ego management is coachable if identified early.. People are scared to speak up (those that did were let go). Leadership should come from tech not retail Some new leaders have track record of lying to their teams about hiring/firing. New practice of "secret hiring" or telling people that successful leaders "resigned" is deceitful and leads to mistrust in "leadership". Hard to build teams on weak foundations.
