Pros

+ Solid product, big market, multiple product offerings. Not a one-trick pony. Vast majority of Fortune-100 are paying customers. Stage is set for the next phase of hyper-growth. + New, experienced leadership on the go-to-market side. New leaders not only come from big name brands, but more importantly, have experience in scaling a business from $100M - $1B. + Strong compensation/benefits package + Genuine emphasis on hiring the best, diverse talent. Recent leadership and mid-management hires far more reflective of under-represented groups than before.

Cons

What made the company successful until today is not going to make it successful in the next phase of growth. Scrappy approaches need to give way to more rigorous and scalable systems + processes. New leadership hires are enforcing this accountability, and that has led to a culture disconnect with some of the longer tenured employees, many of whom have left or have been let go.

One of the best jobs I have ever had!

Pros

I have been with the company for almost 6 months and have loved every minute of it! Neo4j has always been a 'remote first' company, they understand and respect work/life balance and offer quarterly 'global wellness' days. I really appreciate and enjoy the monthly company wide meetings, where the CEO (Emil) and all department heads share important updates to keep everyone 'in the know'. They also hold monthly town halls to answer any and all questions employees have, which is something I have never experienced in my career. The People Ops and recruiting teams are heavily focused on DE&I initiatives. Everyone month I have noticed that the whole company is invited to attend at least 2 different DE&I trainings. Neo4j also offers wonderful benefits! They cover 100% medical, dental, and vision for employees and their families on the base plan (unheard of)!! They also offer a very strong parental leave in addition to other great perks! Neo4j was the first to create the graph database sector and our mission is to help the world make sense of data. I highly encourage anyone considering employment at Neo4j to look at the company website and the 'graphs for good' section. As someone who takes her career very seriously and spends a majority of my time at work, I want to make sure that the work I am doing makes an impact on the world. Neo4j's technology and 'graphs for good' was a huge selling point for me, I know the work I do every day is making a difference! There is a ton of opportunity for growth at Neo4j which I love. I really enjoy my team and every Neo4j employee I have worked with to date, we're all here with the same goal. It is such an exciting time to join the company as we experience rapid growth and I look forward to being part of that. I can honestly say this is one of the best jobs I have ever had and I feel lucky to be here every day!

Cons

If you're not someone who enjoys fast-paced, high-growth environments, this company is probably not for you. Neo4j is growing rapidly and there is a ton of opportunity to build out systems and processes and help the company grow. It is an exciting ride for anyone who wants to be a part of that growth, but that type of culture isn't for everyone.

Pros

Small company with a startup feel. A lot of pride in the company comes from the fact that the product is used on some really interesting problems by very diverse organizations. Lots of opportunities to wear a lot of hats. So many people contribute to the Neo ecosystem on their own time - because they care.

Cons

Often difficult to find relevant materials. Maybe use a graph to track them?
