Overly-controlling Sales Reps Not a single female sales rep in the company? How has this been allowed to go on for so long?

Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. As you know, we are a value based company, and the behavior you described does not align with what we stand for as a company. Neo4j is committed to supporting a culture of inclusion and respect for everyone, so I’m really disheartened to hear this was your experience. I do think it’s important to note that while we do have women in our sales organization, we are currently at less than 10%, and that’s something we’re actively looking to change. While we have work to do within our sales org, many of our outstanding executives, product managers, engineers and thought leaders are women, including representation at the board level. As we continue to grow, and increase our efforts around Diversity and Inclusion, continuing to add strong women to the team is a top priority. Feedback is always welcome, and I’d love the opportunity to discuss this with you directly, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at any point. Sincerely, Anne Taylor Director, Human Resources

Pros

My manager was awesome (until he got laid off). My team was awesome (until the management got replaced). My job was the best (until our comp plans doubled) Great work from home life, flexable, benefits are basic.

Cons

This review is about the new management (not my old management that hired me). The old management is the reason I stayed. They made the job fun especially my manager that I reported to. He was there for years and grew the team to be large and successful. He taught me everything about the job and is the reason why I love sales. When he left with the rest of the management due to a re-org thats when everything feel apart. The new management that has ZERO experience, never had meetings, always missing in action, micro managed in an evil way. The new management will be the reason that department fails. They got rid of the best managers and the quality of leads and workflow have went downhill. Not to mention the same re-org management in marketing. This year has been the worst year for this company with so many people jumping ship I am surprised of all the good reviews on here (it's almost un-true to read).

Pressured into Leaving Good Reviews

Pros

Quarterly global wellness days paid days off.

Cons

It's super sketchy to see a C-level leader hit up newly promoted folks with an email asking them to drop positive reviews. Like, not cool at all—it’s straight-up manipulative and unethical. Employees shouldn’t be cornered into hyping up their employer, especially right after scoring a promotion. That’s just awkward. Why target just the newly promoted? Seems totally shady. Plus, it sets a sketch precedent for future promotions, almost like a you-scratch-my-back-I’ll-scratch-yours deal where you feel you gotta leave a good review to climb the ladder. If the company was actually legit, it wouldn’t need to strong-arm its crew into leaving fake praise. This move is not only unethical but also tanks the company’s rep big time.

We highly value and encourage all employees to express their honest experiences with us, whether positive or negative. The email you have referred to was intended to congratulate recent promotions and highlight a few opportunities for involvement, including programs such as our mentorship program. While it did mention posting on Glassdoor, it was a suggestion to share experiences. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. - Global People Team
