Pros

My manager was awesome (until he got laid off). My team was awesome (until the management got replaced). My job was the best (until our comp plans doubled) Great work from home life, flexable, benefits are basic.

Cons

This review is about the new management (not my old management that hired me). The old management is the reason I stayed. They made the job fun especially my manager that I reported to. He was there for years and grew the team to be large and successful. He taught me everything about the job and is the reason why I love sales. When he left with the rest of the management due to a re-org thats when everything feel apart. The new management that has ZERO experience, never had meetings, always missing in action, micro managed in an evil way. The new management will be the reason that department fails. They got rid of the best managers and the quality of leads and workflow have went downhill. Not to mention the same re-org management in marketing. This year has been the worst year for this company with so many people jumping ship I am surprised of all the good reviews on here (it's almost un-true to read).

WORST PEOPLE TEAM

Pros

Work from home, plenty of vacation, benefits are amazing, and mental health days are always a plus.

Cons

No Career Development at all. I worked in HR and after a year of BS and seeing how bad the management has became over the year I decided to leave. My management was terrible. It was the only department with lots of women (which most of them all came from a previous company and worked together) so the management are friends outside of work and it's like a cult. Us low hanging fruit have no chance of promotions or raises. We were micromanaged daily with all new management based out of Boston and they were all terrible. Everytime we would meet and bash the other departments and talk about the bad reviews on glassdoor and think of ways to bring up the ratings (including making fake reviews). If you see all the good reviews they are placed after a bad review goes public to keep the ratings up. We never addressed any issues from the employee's. Instead we always laughed at how useless most of the people are here in the company and we shared so many secrets that we should not have. As a company they need to do better with management. Almost every violation and complaint was about the upper management and nothing gets done. All the bad reviews are all bad and on point about women not having much say in anything. Unless you are in the people team you are pretty much screwed from all the male dominating managers. The sausage fest rules in the company. And do not believe the good reviews, they are all FAKE and ridiculously obvious.

One of the best jobs I have ever had!

Pros

I have been with the company for almost 6 months and have loved every minute of it! Neo4j has always been a 'remote first' company, they understand and respect work/life balance and offer quarterly 'global wellness' days. I really appreciate and enjoy the monthly company wide meetings, where the CEO (Emil) and all department heads share important updates to keep everyone 'in the know'. They also hold monthly town halls to answer any and all questions employees have, which is something I have never experienced in my career. The People Ops and recruiting teams are heavily focused on DE&I initiatives. Everyone month I have noticed that the whole company is invited to attend at least 2 different DE&I trainings. Neo4j also offers wonderful benefits! They cover 100% medical, dental, and vision for employees and their families on the base plan (unheard of)!! They also offer a very strong parental leave in addition to other great perks! Neo4j was the first to create the graph database sector and our mission is to help the world make sense of data. I highly encourage anyone considering employment at Neo4j to look at the company website and the 'graphs for good' section. As someone who takes her career very seriously and spends a majority of my time at work, I want to make sure that the work I am doing makes an impact on the world. Neo4j's technology and 'graphs for good' was a huge selling point for me, I know the work I do every day is making a difference! There is a ton of opportunity for growth at Neo4j which I love. I really enjoy my team and every Neo4j employee I have worked with to date, we're all here with the same goal. It is such an exciting time to join the company as we experience rapid growth and I look forward to being part of that. I can honestly say this is one of the best jobs I have ever had and I feel lucky to be here every day!

Cons

If you're not someone who enjoys fast-paced, high-growth environments, this company is probably not for you. Neo4j is growing rapidly and there is a ton of opportunity to build out systems and processes and help the company grow. It is an exciting ride for anyone who wants to be a part of that growth, but that type of culture isn't for everyone.
