      Still the best place I've ever worked

      Pros

      The culture is open and inclusive, and I have always appreciated how approachable and transparent the senior staff are. The work is fascinating and challenging, but everyone is well supported and encouraged to succeed. The company has grown a lot in the years since I joined, but the people I work with are world class, and I'm excited for what comes next.

      Cons

      Times have been tough for all tech companies over the past 12 months, and Neo4j have not been immune to this. The impact of tough decisions has been felt in team morale across the whole company. Despite an open and inclusive culture, diversity could still be improved. I'm particularly keen to see more women in leadership roles, with many recent additions all fitting the same mould.

      One of the best companies I ever worked for

      Pros

      The best thing about Neo4j, is the culture and the people in it. The work is quite challenging which makes it very interesting and fun. You get a lot of freedom to decide how you want your team to operate and how you want to organize your work. Collaboration is at the heart of the company. You are always encouraged to speak your mind and ideas are always welcome with careful consideration and respect. There is a rich diversity of ideas and styles within the company which makes most exchanges quite interesting and stimulating.

      Cons

      Everyone is so brilliant and humble that it's not unusual to experience some initial impostor syndrome when joining. But people are aware of this and will most likely try to help you get through it!
