Endless Opportunities

Pros

There are a lot of opportunities to learn and grow. Opportunities to work in multiple departs or make your own ideas a reality. Management cares a lot about their people personally and wants the best for them.

Cons

The company is always growing and changing and wants the employees involved in that so if you’re not comfortable with change, this will be challenging.

Stable place to be employed in a hectic world

Pros

Neogen has their hands in many niche markets and has an enormous impact on the global food chain. Most employees in Animal Safety are career employees with no intention of ever leaving. Neogen pay is competitive and the benefits are some of the best in the industry. The stock match program is the best I have seen in a company this size. Neogen stepped up during Covid and did their best to protect their employees.

Cons

Neogen always hits their targets and exceeds expectations. They do not pass along the proceeds to their employees and the pay increases don't come close to the inflation rate. Some positions have no upward mobility due to lifelong employees.

Pros

Up and coming mom and pop company with great potential to be a "Corporate" environment. Give up or actually renovate your nostalgic old red brick building (Elementary schools/bank built in the 40's) with leaky single-pane window, no heat, and children height toilets and sinks in the bathrooms. The lack of a welcoming reception area for potential new clients, new hire candidates, or current clients is nothing short of scary. trophy case when you enter the world headquarters of Neogen some of the manufactured products they produce are in a display - rat poison, veterinarian devices, kits, a layer of dust, and dead flies. The products are not a display but rather all randomly in there with no order or presentation whatsoever. What is the real kicker is HR and the CEO walks through this entry hall every morning and every night and they don't notice what is on display for first impressions?

Cons

Upper management lacks an ethical compass to make the right decisions and be transparent with Sr. Management when mistakes are uncovered or have been made. Blind leading the blind.
