Pros

Neogen has their hands in many niche markets and has an enormous impact on the global food chain. Most employees in Animal Safety are career employees with no intention of ever leaving. Neogen pay is competitive and the benefits are some of the best in the industry. The stock match program is the best I have seen in a company this size. Neogen stepped up during Covid and did their best to protect their employees.

Cons

Neogen always hits their targets and exceeds expectations. They do not pass along the proceeds to their employees and the pay increases don't come close to the inflation rate. Some positions have no upward mobility due to lifelong employees.

Pros

Neogen is a solid, growing company with great things in its future. I had the opportunity to work with a lot of very smart people, and although it's a cliche, I did learn something new every day. A good team environment and loads of opportunities to collaborate with a ton of talented people.

Cons

As with many companies with a lot of moving pieces, sometimes the communication was lacking. Sometimes challenging to see the big picture.

- Culture emphasizes respect, and everyone is! - Relaxed, task-driven workdays (no micro-managers). - HR is responsive & has fairly progressive policies - Health Insurance is good. - Time off amount is reasonable and easy to schedule. - Frequent opportunities for job title/responsibility growth (with consideration to salary increase). - Neogen is incredibly progressive with revenue and research opportunities, and strategic on a global scale. They always show strong revenue growth.

Cons

- Neogen’s continuous growth has outpaced its systems and processes (you need to help upgrade and resolve current long-standing issues, while maintaining all current deadlines). - No centralized manuals or written resources (you need to make your own). - Neogen’s frequent acquisition and mergers require particular care.
