Good for the right people, not so good for a lot of people

Pros

People are great to work with. They have energy and enjoying working and supporting each other. The technology has a good story and people can be successful. If you are a superstar, you are rewarded with stock that has tangible value. Good benefits.

Cons

zero training of any value. what training there is, is mostly the admin stuff or "check the box" work but in terms of becoming productive, you are pretty much on your own and your peers are more than willing to help but you have to learn as you go. There are layers of inner circles and politics, until you prove yourself you will be on the outside looking in. Compensation isn't bad but get what you can going in, it'll be all you get.

Pros

Best enterprise solution for small to medium size business. 15 years I have sold SAP, Oracle and MS. My 30+ NetSuite customers are far more satisfied and willing to be a reference than any customer I have had selling other solutions.

Cons

Hired young inexperienced sales reps early on who set poor expectations with customers which got NetSuite in hot water 5+ years ago. Some of the inexperienced sales reps have survived and have been promoted into management. Leadership immaturity.

1. Decent product. Solid footing in terms of back office financials applications in the cloud. 2. Nice people (though some in senior management should be offered classes in how to manage without being offensive / insensitive). 3. Good location / parking

Cons

1. If you like the Oracle culture, you will do well at NetSuite. That said, how many like the Oracle culture? 2. One-trick pony - tried to build their own CRM, but we all know how that went. Same thing with their eCommerce offering. 3. Sales management is all over the place. 4. They were just sold to Oracle.
