Pros

I've been with NetWorth Realty in Houston for a short 1.5 years now. The two best reasons to work at NetWorth Realty are: 1. Purpose: the feeling that you get when you realize you are responsible for creating wealth for someone else.YOU are making your clients' financial dreams come true. YOU are making them money for their children's college fund, their early retirement, their financial freedom, etc. When you sell a $200k property to someone for $110k, the feeling that you get after they've successfully "flipped" the home and turned a profit is second-to-none. How would you feel if you were responsible for creating an additional $100k to someone's net-worth in a year? The answer: ecstatic! YOU've just made a big difference in someone's life. Now imagine doing that 10x over in the same year for all your investors. The #1 reason for working at NetWorth Realty is because you have a purpose. That purpose helps people achieve a lot of their dreams. Not too many people can say that about their jobs. 2. Knowledge. In the midst of you creating wealth for other people, you are thus learning how to create wealth for yourself. By being in the middle of the Houston RE market everyday, I know what to buy, how to buy it, where the growth is, how I can get the best return on my money, etc. Not only are you making a positive difference in your investors' lives, but you're making a positive difference in your own.

Cons

This job is not for everyone. If you cannot stomach 40++ hours of work per week with non-guaranteed pay for lengthy amounts of time, this job may not be for you. It took me roughly 6 months of solid work to get my business off the ground but, it has paid off tenfold. My first 6 months in the company, I made $30k in commissions. During this time, you're a sponge soaking up the business. Everything seems foreign, and you're putting in a lot of hours, but for some reason, you're not performing like you want. Then, all of the sudden, out of nowhere, everything you've seen, heard, and learned comes together. Like a light-switch, all of the sudden, you are a knowledgeable professional that knows how to buy and sell investment real estate. That's the moment you're waiting for. In my last 12 months working for NetWorth Realty, I have made well over $100k in personal commissions to myself. As you can see, with time and a lot, lot, lot of effort, you will create more income and wealth (by knowledge) with this job than you could have anywhere else. But it takes patience. My income will continue to grow as I grow within the company.

Pros

You get to learn real estate investing at the ground level.

Cons

Poor leadership. Brokers are not required to be smart or sensible or good at building teams; they just need to be good at sales. Deceiving commission structure due to the same poor leadership.

Pros

Great system. Follow the system and you will make money. Great for a young person with drive that is willing to put in the over 65+ hours a week. If you want to become a real estate flipper or investor why not get paid to learn!

Cons

Once you learn what you can from this company, it's time to move on. They are real sticklers about you becoming their competition after you quit. You can make much more money elsewhere by utilizing what you learned. Not really a long term career at this company.
