Pros
I actually had never heard of Netcracker before they contacted me, and I may say it was actually a very pleasant surprise. Having worked for other companies in the telecom and financial systems industries, I knew what to expect from the business. However, as I began to know people and company policies, I understood it is a completely different culture, and a unique business punch. All NetCracker personnel I interacted with are highly competent, respectful, and extremely diligent in all matters. People respond to you as you ask, promptly and in detail. People respect language, and write things with accuracy; no fears of long texts or vast amounts of data to go through to do your job. From the other side, managers give you time for you to understand what you have to understand in order to get your work properly done. People do not keep pushing you; they just let you know how important your work is for the company. It makes you want to be a part of it. All employees are highly connected - albeit the vast majority of us are working remotely - people from all around the world interact closely to you as needed, and I must confess it is amazing to participate in such a bright network. We have so many fantastic resources for communication, development, knowledge building, customer care, etc., that I wonder why other companies cannot do the same. They give us excellent laptops, information resources, software tools, employee assistance, excellent health care and many other benefits, and there is always someone to help you right away with HR or IT issues. I think it is highly unlikely I will ever be able to put blame on people that support my work, if that was ever the case, because everyone here is so efficient. As far as my experience goes, there is no bullying, cursing, swearing, wrongdoing, and not even bad mood. People at all levels are very kind and seem to be truly satisfied at work. People get things done, and do not get upset while doing it, I think perhaps it is exactly because they want to feel they are in line with the company's culture. This is the highest level of professionalism that I can think of. A very pleasant surprise, indeed.
Cons
As NetCracker has many customers in many different areas, has a large number of products and some of its systems are huge and have been around for a long time now, sometimes you have to deal with dated design decisions and legacy code. Because of all this complexity – for some roles – it takes time and endurance to learn how to do your work.
