Pros
In this case, Netrix is reinventing themselves and investing in its people. If you want to build something you can be proud of and push yourself professionally, this is the organization for you. There is a lack of traditional hierarchy and corporate red-tape you might find in a company of this size. There is also a huge re-focus on developing a better culture and these initiatives have actual milestones. There is a willingness to grow across all levels of employees. I've found i've gotten to know more of my colleagues just based on these culture initiatives alone. Strong work ethic is a major requirement; it's not the place where you can hide out and coast. Because of this, you find that you work with like minded hardworking individuals who help you get the job done. If you look at the organization from 18-24 months ago to today, you'd be looking at a totally different organization. For the better.
Cons
Better office perks and benefits would be appreciated. A lot of people give a lot of time on the clock. 401k match, better health plans come to mind first. Realizing that's a very big financial consideration ... To start off with something easier to bite off on ... complimentary beverages and snacks would be great. Even monthly company funded lunches. Most people I see work through lunch and dinner. Would be nice to give back a little more when our noses are on the grind.
