Pros

Paid 4 weekly 75% discounted travel

Cons

Bad higher management with zero experience on the real world telling the seasoned experienced staff how to maintain the railway. Lots of weekend work due to possession availability. Only 10% premium for weekends Overtime at standard rate

Pros

good work life balance and lots of consideration to your personal life some good benefts Good support if you want to upskill/develop

Cons

What made NR stand our 5 years ago is now industry standard, unfortunately NR seem to be pushing in the opposite way with enforced back to work requirements. Not what it used to be and with constant slimming down of the organisation it definitely results in greater stress on individuals. I am planning to leave as the salary is just not good enough.
