Pros

Good people within the industry. Can be a rewarding job when getting the work done.

Cons

Currently a struggling industry. Upper management do a lot of talking but minimal action. No money, training/career progression stifled. Lots of red tape and unwillingness to amend standards to assist/improve. Standards in place to be followed, yet most staff fail to adhere and have a lack of training.

Good work-life balance but lots of politics

Pros

Great benefits, work-life balance and good pay.

Cons

Very, very political and full of nepotism. Career progression is mostly based on connections and networking rather than skills, knowledge and experience. Lots of re-orgs over the past 2.5 years and uncertainty for the future. Very slow decision making and lack of ownership.
