Pros

None, sadly it used to be a good department with people that cared, now with David Faithfull leading the department its all gone down hill and very quickly

Cons

Right now lots of uncertainty. No honesty in sharing communications of what's happening to our department and network rail. Currently going through a big restructure and reorg with all jobs at risk of redundancy. David Faithfull and his leadership team are so far removed from the people doing the jobs and so uninterested in the people leaving. People are in the wrong jobs but nothing being done to sort. Poor pay, no bonus or pay rises No objectives to work towards No accountability - People in hierarchical roles use their status to power over others Lack of career development People are being replaced with contractors. They are happy to pay more for robotic contractors who don't care!

Pros

Interesting work. Decent pension. Doing something that benefits the country.

Cons

Some Bullying management. Long hours. Poor processes. Some people internally don’t have your back up. Some people interested in self promotion and will step on anyone. No pay rises since 2019.

Pros

Pension and Volunteer days are ok

Cons

E and P; Puddle Dock .Box ticking bureaucrats, Senior Commercial Team mostly incompetent and only interested in following corporate governance in order to protect their own jobs and pensions rather than making a difference to the rail industry. Work is mind numbing and endless detritus, feeding numbers into a huge Network Rail machine. Will make you lose your identity as a human being and question your reason for existing. Job satisfaction is zero and the work could seriously corrode your sole. Reorganizations every year or so and massive turnover of staff within London region. SPMs and Project Managers very poor, wouldn't get jobs elsewhere and routinely blamed commercial staff to protect their own jobs. There were very many bad behaviours with the Electrification and Power team, some overly aggressive Commercial Managers and SPMs who would undermine other team members behind their backs rather than talk in person but the Project Managers seemed to facilitate and support the behavior
