A Slow & Lazy Company

Pros

Annual leave is generous at 28 days pa rising to 30 with ten years service. Currently 75% discount on train season tickets. Some knowledgeable and talented people working here.

Cons

Slow paced company. Unfair performance review process. Difficult to move into another role as most jobs within are templated for someone else before you've even gone for an interview - so you won't stand a chance even before you go for interview. Too much management organisational structure (over management) with too many job posts that don't add any value to the company. Many people in Network Rail wouldn't survive in a fast paced private company with shareholders.
