Toxic

Pros

Good Salary, higher the band the better the bonus allocation, private healthcare. But makes it very hard to leave the organisation and find similar pay.

Cons

Toxic environment, bullying and harassment. Long hours due to too much work. Always asking for more. Mamagement culture is to "challenge" but it is actually belittling, micromanaging and constantly putting people down. Not enough people to get the job done yet they are cutting our headcount to make savings. So many reports, reporting for the sake of reporting, take up so much time to produce for it not to be read. People are mentally and physically ill.

Pros

Good work life balance, people love their jobs and railway and its infectious. Job security.

Cons

Pay increases set at CPI for the next few years so not feeling like salary keeps up with cost of living crisis. Not a lot of room to progress due to roles often only coming up when people move on/retire.
