Pros

our participants, great environment, flexible schedule, family environment, great management, great work-life balance, person centered which i enjoy

Cons

Pay could be better but the rewards of seeing our participants happy and re-learn skill is worth it all.

Pros

You’ll be able to obtain hours that you need Low stress job if working with the adults

Cons

Benefits are not good They just changed the policy to where you have to work 32 hours not 30 to obtain benefits.. scammy You’ll likely be told many different ways to do things by many people, none will be correct so that’s confusing The pay is horrendous and borderline not livable if you have a family The only way to move up the ladder is taking on significantly more work for barely anymore pay Extremely stressful events can happen, and you won’t be paid enough to deal with it but are expected to anyways No annual raises or anything Because the job does hire anyone with any educational background / communication skills etc. it is very clique, comparable to the movie mean girls. This makes for a hostile work environment and it’s just annoying honestly.

Avoid at all costs

Pros

The residents receiving rehab were the only good thing.

Cons

Relentless bullying from Ekua LVN, I brought issues to the attention of management multiple times regarding her conduct, resulting in me receiving "counselling" about how to "work as a team." Ekua is not a leader. She is perpetually at least 20 minutes late to each shift, and refuses to handle anything in a professional manner, instead choosing to berate staff and start fights in front of all the residents and other staff. She will twist anything you say into somehow being an affront to her, will accuse you of ineptitude, have you sent home for virtually no reason, and has made multiple coworkers cry with her abuse. The facility itself is not organized, nothing is labeled, necessary items like gloves, trash bags, etc are always out of stock. uses a pager system to alert CNAs, but rarely are there any pagers that function. Call lights often bug out and don't work. Starting pay is not worth the toxic environment you have to put up with. Facility often has roaches inside, bodily fluid spills are rarely handled correctly since there are no supplies to clean them adequately. Overall, avoid at all cost.
