Pros

Higher than average salary Multiple locations to choose from Full benefits.

Cons

Salary is the first to get laid off. Salary employees may get yearly bonuses but are way over worked and are paid less than their tech 6 counter parts. It is an easy job to get stuck at with very little growth on the operator side of things. Union is weak. NGM effectively has a monopoly since the Barrick/Newmont joint venture taking away a lot of choice. Only real money is underground. Gotta know someone or get lucky to get a really good position
