Pros

Paid holidays and vacation. If you work in a branch or department with people that you like, they become your second family. I loved my management team in the branch and they were always willing to work with my school schedule and pushed me to grow.

Cons

If you take three sick days in six months, you are given a "verbal" warning. Verbal means written. Im not one to call in sick every month, but i left after so many years and had hundreds of hours of sick time accrued that i lost. The sales goals are somewhat achievable but you will definitely be hearing about it every week if you are not on track, even though the goal numbers are reported quarterly. The incentives are minimal and pay out 3 months after the quarter. If you leave, you lose your incentive pay. We were lucky to get 1% raises every year, but with tellers being paid $11-$13/hr, it's a joke. My pay only went up a total of a dollar over several years, and that was with promotions.

Pros

Offers benefits for full and part time employees (health, retirement, tuition reimbursement, etc.) In-Person training and development plans for employees. Career growth and movement is encouraged from the bottom up. Eligible for incentive payouts. Hours allow for work/life balance. Competitive pay with other financial institutions.

Cons

Small cap on annual raises Technology and Policy/Procedures are slow to evolve due to Bancorp structure.

Pros

Discount on loan interests. Paid holidays. 2 weeks paid vacation.

Cons

Horrible Health insurance. They claim they dont make employees push credit products on clients but there is a lot of pressure and will refuse job promotions if you dont meet your quota. Constant threats of job loss. It's also almost impossible to get out of the branch and into a office job. Their definition of hard working employees are those who sell a lot of products. Not those who actually work hard and go beyond expectations. Starting out you only make about $9.80 and the raises are minor but it takes a lot of work to get those raises.
