Pros

Management is very transparent, thoughtful, and open to input and ideas from the team. This results in employees who are engaged in their work and the overall direction of the company.

Cons

Being a small/young company, there are always things to be done and challenges to tackle. Sometimes there's a lack of time or resources available to beat-back against workload, but generally speaking we're given the tools needed for success.

I love to see transparency and engagement called out by a team member. Nothing is more important. On the time management front - deciding the right tools and resources for investment is a huge challenge. I'll try to keep up the openness if you do too - thanks for the feedback and keep it coming.

Great small ed-tech startup

Pros

Awesome team, great office culture. I still see people from the office socially even though it's been three years since I worked there. Learned a wide range of skills while on the job; at a small company, it's common for every employee to have a fairly diverse range of responsibilities, which means you learn a lot.

Cons

The diversity of responsibilities can be exhausting sometimes. Salaries are not as high as at more established tech companies.

I'm happy to hear your "pros" and I quite agree with your "cons". I think the Neverware team is (and always has been) our greatest strength. Its why I love coming to work everyday. We do ask a ton from our people, and I recognize that sometimes it can be too much. We are trying to get better about that. And you are also right that we can't match the salaries of the established tech players in NY - that's just one of the realities of being an early stage technology company. Thanks for your thoughtful feedback!

A great environment with great perks, great pay, and challenging work. It's fun place to spend your days. Plenty of growth opportunity.

Cons

A little unorganized, because it's a new company and the needs of the business just aren't fully realized yet. You really have to be prepared to make up your own job sometimes.

Thanks for the honest feedback. I can't argue with your criticisms - as the years have gone by and the organization has changed, it has been really difficult to build and maintain a consistent structure and path. We are working to get better at this, but its definitely part of the challenge at an early stage technology company.
