Pros

Colleague discount, Uniform allowance, opportunity to work at events

Cons

Upper management such as area managers, store managers and staff at head office are very difficult to work with. During my time at New Balance I faced many difficult times when approaching management about unfairness, bullying and being singled out. I was forced into a disciplinary, had my job threatened and was refused from being promoted. This left me with no choice but to resign. The company has a handful of Portuguese managers in stores and in head office who speak in Portuguese knowing that others cannot understand them. There’s a huge sense of nepotism. If you’re not one of them, you’re not going to succeed. You will not be promoted. My whole team ended up leaving my store because they were being treated extremely unfairly.
