very collaborative, great manager, growth opportunities (pay and title), virtual hang outs, team building gatherings once a year, FTO was always approved right away,

Cons

After the acquisition, the company experienced a noticeable decline in its performance. The organizational structure became chaotic, with poorly defined job roles and objectives. Employees often received work assignments abruptly, coupled with tight deadlines, leading to increased stress and decreased productivity. Additionally, there was a significant turnover among executives, indicating possible dissatisfaction or disagreement with the new direction of the company. This combination of factors contributed to a deteriorating work environment and a decline in overall company performance

Pros

One of the benefits of moving to a private company is no longer having to appease shareholders. The market is notoriously short sited which has caused us to make business decisions in the past that ultimately hurt the quality of our products. The new direction the company is focusing on looks like it will bring us back up to speed in the ever changing and competitive observability market.

Cons

RSU's (Restricted Stock Units) were a large part of our total compensation and were what kept the pay here competitive. As a private company, it's too early to tell what we'll settle on in regard to replacing this compensation or whether it will meet the needs of employees.
