Pros

Spontaneous company culture: Accepting that everyday could be your last.

Cons

Pay cuts and layoffs. They're running off all US employees in favor of cheap labor in India. People at the top cutting costs to fund plastic surgery and hair transplants. I predict this company will fold as there's no clear vision.

Pros

most of the fellow devs are very smart and kind people

Cons

Director level and up is a black box that provides no feedback. Everything is a priority so nothing is leads to bouncing around between projects never finishing anything yearly lay offs so nobody is comfortable off shoring most positions to cost cut no promotion or raise plan in place very high attrition rate so few people have legacy knowledge trying to work with global time zones makes productivity crawl insane amount of process oriented overhead to accomplish even the smallest task leadership is completely checked out from engineering everything that made new relic great is being systematically dismantled

Pros

Decent pay and benefits. Recharge week (one week paid time off). Unlimited time off.

Cons

Inexperienced people managers with no empathy in some departments. There is a “360” review process every 6 months, however, people managers are not expected to receive feedback from their direct reports which gives way to poor management skills. Toxic behavior is clearly accepted in some cases despite HR involvement. Budget cuts have impacted everything from personal development opportunities to team building activities. Company vision is not clearly communicated to individual contributors. Executive leadership lacks transparency and the ability to motivate. Multiple layoffs in a span of 3 years. Change fatigue from multiple business process changes, org changes, and projects that come to fruition only to be dismissed by some higher-up.
