Can be a fun environment and builds skills (cold calling, networking, etc.)

Cons

Difficult to make decent money; most people have second jobs. Rules and expectations frequently change.

It’s good to hear you found the environment engaging and that the role helped you build transferable skills like cold calling and networking. We understand that earnings and shifting expectations of real estate can make the experience feel challenging. We understand how consistency and clarity are important, especially early on in your career, and we remain committed to bettering that experience for our team members. We thank you for taking the time to share your perspective and wish you the best moving forward.

Pros

- If you are part of an established office, the opportunities are great. The lead generation by the acquisition agents will keep you fed - Comp plan isn't terrible, ranging from 10-20% of the sales volume per transaction dependent on your bonus for that month - Mostly younger agents, but if you fit in, you'll love it. (very "bro" culture)

Cons

- If you're not in an established office and you're helping it get started, there will be LOTS of down time, and being 100% commission is tough in circumstances like that - Comp plan isn't a standout - Lots of driving to the office and houses

We love hearing that you found strong opportunity and deal flow at New Western and appreciated the team dynamic. For the right fit, the real estate environment can be energizing and rewarding. We certainly understand the experience can be more challenging in developing offices, especially with the commission-based model real estate agents work with. We recognize that downtime, travel, and compensation structure can feel tougher in those situations. It's why we have the incentive model for our agents to help them ramp up. We appreciate the time you took to share your perspective and wish you continued success moving forward.

Great to hear you’re experiencing strong earning potential, solid support, and a positive team culture in the San Antonio office. That balance is a big part of the New Western experience. The volatility can be challenging at times, and we appreciate your resilience in navigating it. Thanks for sharing your perspective and being part of the team.
