Very stable, very light work pressure, excellent benefit package, half day Fridays in summer, haven't had a lay off in years. One of the very few companies that still offer 401K and pension benefits. One of the very few financial services companies who have not been affected by the mortage backed securities.

Cons

Work is too easy. You are hardly challanged. Job security have turned most employees into zombies who do not belive in updating their technical skills but just be content in following standards and procedures. Not for you if you are young and ambitous and try out some adventure.

Fair, conservative company with excellent reputation. Persistence, teamwork, and determination are very important employee attributes, which pay off over time in this organization.

Cons

Promotion takes a long time and is worth waiting for. Most 'downsides' have more to do with our ability to work with others and our own personal attitudes about work.
