Pros

I worked with some great people and talented editors and designers. HR, by and large, seems to be filled with some lovely humans who only yield so much power as well. The tour of the plant is also a highlight!

Cons

Incompetent management and antiquated ideals. Minimal diversity and a fairly sexist undertone. I think its a pretty toxic or abusive work environment and I feel healthier after not working there anymore.

Pros

- Great colleagues, a great place to meet different types of creatives - Good benefits, decent pay

Cons

- No room to learn beyond the tasks you are given - Very little room for creativity or growth as the top editors will often override all work you have done in order to get their “thumbprint” on it. - Editors with sexual harassment cases (past and present) they will still keep them and pay them top dollar - Managers often will pretend like they have more to offer you as a way to try and keep you from jumping ship - Some top managing editors often have a delusional sense of power. Do not stay longer than a year, RUN. - Many editors are extremely lazy, have everyone else do the work for them. They are due for a solid round of layoffs as some employees are making $250,000-500,000 to sit in an office and put a check mark on pages - There is a dark underbelly of this company, almost anyone you speak to has something to say about the management - Print is down and making no money but digital is doing well
