Pros

Flexible. Pretty good pay. Easy job.

Cons

Little respect to lower staff such as clerks and pages. The environment can be stressful and down right uncomfortable dependent upon the branch you are located in.

Pros

Most people that I worked with was cool and loved their job

Cons

But others were nasty and looked for drama especially if they were there (in the same position) for over 15yrs. I saw someone that worked there less then a year get promoted when they did not work at all, constantly would call out and make inappropriate comments to their page staff because they were the managers fav. Mind you that manager made several people cry in the departments that they managed. They screamed at them, were immature in meetings in front of higher ups that didn't defend or protect any of the other employees. The pay isn't worth it, 3% every other year because the union can never settle a contract and there's barely any room for growth because like I mentioned the same 3 people are stuck in higher positions that they barely do the work for. Management doesn't take any situation seriously when it comes to harassment or bullying in the workplace even when it's in their face what is happening. Management is a con period. Supervisors/Managers have nasty tones, are very passive aggressive, suck the soul out of their employees and make comments about physical appearance, overwork you to the point where they make your work and effort feel worthless.

Pros

Have learned a lot from bosses and co-workers. Been able to earn several promotions with hard work and support from bosses. Good benefits and generous time off. Rarely ever had a boring day.

Cons

Some managers are afraid of dealing with slackers and rest of staff has to bear the burden. Upper management doesn't spend enough time getting to know their support staff and realizing what they have.
