Pros

Great co-workers, great exposure to industry, great support.

Cons

Low pay, Company will find a way to get out of not paying bonus even though I far exceeded budgets, high turn-over due to low morale. Will change bonus plan without notice even though you hit bugdets/goals. High performing employees feel under-valued because of compensation. Unreasonable YOY budet/goal expected. Never gave new comp plan in writing.

Pros

Co workers and low level managers are mostly chill and supportive. Somewhat flexible work schedule, pay and benefits are decent (but not enough to stay long). If you are interested in tech and e-commerce this place is a definite stepping stone for your career. A lot of things to learn and absorb.

Cons

Once you are adjusted to your daily routine, you start to question why are you doing your job and why you should be caring. What are the incentives of giving your 110%? Few things the upper management seems to do well is to publicly criticize a certain category or a team which indirectly sends a message to everyone else to not be a failure like them- Typical Asian style negative reinforcement. Giving 40 dollar gift cards for well-performing categories are the only motivation the management provides, which is a lackluster effort in presenting a vision and creating a sense of purpose - especially when Amazon is engulfing the market share and everyone is losing morale. People tend to work harder with less pay if their effort and accomplishment are visualized to the public, and it starts with a presenting a vision that resonates with the PM team. This is the most fundamental cause of the ever-revolving exit door. People will get paid more at other places with equal amount of effort and skill set, so why should people stay here? Leaders were non-existent here and, naturally, many PMs will do their due diligence but never go above and beyond.
