Pros

nothing - there is nothing positive about this company except the paycheck every other Friday and even that is below market

Cons

everything - especially the PEOPLE. This place is staffed with people that can't get jobs anywhere else. Everyone back stabs and talks a lot of gossip. Nobody follows process or procedure and make it up as they go. They are constantly borrowing money just to stay afloat. the company isn't profitable despite what they are saying. And to make matter worse, the people that are supposed to make money aren't , then have the nerve to demand a bonus while the rest of us get nothing.

Pros

For the average person pros generally occur within the first 3 years, unless you do well with politics and getting in the right groups/departments. For those who focus on their own current and future success via politics there is opportunity for quick promotions and pay increases. There are pros for new hires, interns and those with little time invested in the company if they want to learn eCommerce; it is likewise a great way to add eCommerce experience to your resume.

Cons

Chinese culture and politics means you are an unwelcome expense; decision makers do not have any interest in your financial, professional or personal success. Consistent successful innovation, dedication to the company and loyalty is trivialized by senior management, which results in diluted merit for those who deserve to be rewarded. Senior/top management is laser focused on preventing pay from increasing and how they can increase overseas and imported headcount. It encourages low achievement and complaints about pay, while also preventing those who have performed from reward by the company.

Pros

For a new grad or someone trying to get into the IT industry, this place is a great launching point to learn about products and establish connections with vendors. In terms of learning business sense or how to manage a category, it is hit or miss depending on who you are learning from. You might be learning from someone who just started not long before you due to the crazy turnover.

Cons

1. Bad management - the management at this company is a joke. They do not understand how to treat employees other than negatively. They will tell you they value smart or creative individuals then shut you down or steal your idea. 2. No strategy - the management here has no clue how to run a business. They apply very basic metrics across all categories. They don't understand that each category has its own needs and behaviors. 3. Hypocritical propoganda - They will tell you its an honor to work here, and you should feel indebted to them for allowing you the opportunity to be there. Whereas it is actually the opposite, they can't retain any talent or any of it's employees even if they offer better pay or higher positions. If you don't show you will sacrifice your life for the company, they will fire you if they feel like it. 4. Politics - it's like Game of Thrones, everyone is trying to make themself look good as opposed to really caring about the company or the business. They are too busy backstabbing each other and building their own armies to care about it's employees. 5. No idea is a bad idea, unless it's yours - they will ask you to submit a bunch of things only to tell you how they want you to do something. They do not encourage creativity or progressive ideas. They are set in their old chinese ways and not open to suggestions or criticism. Anytime you challenge their ideas it is seen as a negative attitude and they will fire you. 6. Extremely high turnover - Don't get too attached to your co-workers, they may not be there long. Or they will replace you with someone from China. 7. Dysfunctional structure - If vendors knew how this place was, they would be amazed that anything gets done here and we sell products. The different departments have no synergy between them and it shows. Nothing says efficiency like 3 different departments doing the same projects concurrently on their own.
