Pros

Decent pay, unlimited PTO and flexible work location.

Cons

In a near constant state change of systems and process. No full health insurance coverage. CEO constantly hypes AI and how it's great. We didn't get into renewables to produce energy for the tech overlords stealing our knowledge and art to be plugged into predictive text models that consume all our resources.

Great People, Terrible Management

Pros

Your coworkers are going to be some of the coolest and most intelligent people you will meet. People are personable and want to see you succeed.

Cons

For a company that prides itself of being domestic content, laying off engineers and people in other departments to offshore their work doesn't really seem genuine. It creates mistrust and shows that money is more important than your employees. Communication between departments lacks and there is not a lot of top down communication between managers and team members

Thank you for sharing your perspective and for recognizing the caliber of the people you worked alongside at Nexamp. We agree — our team is made up of thoughtful, driven people who care deeply about the work and each other. We want to address an important misrepresentation in your review related to layoffs and offshore work. Nexamp has not conducted broad, company‑wide layoffs in over two years, and we do not have a practice of systematically replacing U.S.-based team members with offshore talent. We do partner with global teams in limited, clearly defined areas to extend coverage, increase throughput, or access specialized skills. Our long-term focus remains unchanged: building projects and teams that reduce energy costs, support local communities, and strengthen America’s domestic energy future. As you note, your experience reflects a point in time more than a year ago. Your feedback on silos and cross-department communication are areas we have invested in enhancing. Strengthening transparency and how information flows between leaders and teams is ongoing work, and we continue to prioritize building communication and collaboration skills across levels because trust and context matter—especially in a growing, mission-driven organization.
