Pros

Chill environment Varied projects Good people Lots of knowledge around to learn from More high profile projects coming in at a fantastic rate

Cons

Low compensation No match to 401k Boot camps just put new hires on a internal project with little to no guidance It's an consulting job and that means being regularly thrown on projects that are troubled

Thanks for sharing this feedback. You’ve highlighted some of our strengths: great environment, great people, learning opportunities and clients. You may be somewhat early in your career as a developer (I’m guessing this because you mentioned boot camps), and wishing your starting salary were higher. I believe you will find what other posters have mentioned: your salary will advance rapidly as your skills do. In fact, one of the ways to build those skills is to take on those challenging projects you mentioned. However at Nexient you should never feel you’re on your own with a challenge, whether on an internal project or client work. If you’ve spoken to your project leadership about not getting enough guidance and aren’t satisfied with the answers, please contact me or Colin directly.

Pros

Talented people, challenging opportunities and a ton of room for growth. Nexient hires non-traditional and it really makes the company dynamic, it also invests heavily into training and empowering team members to be impactful.

Cons

No red bull in the fridge! Salaries for entry level can be on the low side but the benefits and training imo make up for it.
