Thanks for your input on your time at Nextbite. The online ordering industry continues to grow and we’re excited to remain a market leader in this space. The past six months or so have been difficult for many start-ups at our stage and we’ve had to make some difficult business decisions that affected our staff size in the changing VC landscape.
Like many companies facing similar challenges, the result of those tough decisions is that Nextbite is better poised to adapt to a changing fundraising timeline amidst these new market realities, and better enabled to focus on a quicker path to profitability.
Over the last few months, we’ve prioritized alignment, focus, and clear communication around what Nextbite will achieve over the coming months, and making sure our teams are set up to be successful. It’s never easy to adapt to significant business changes such as these, and we’ll continue to prioritize communication. In fact, one of my favorite initiatives we’ve rolled out in the past few weeks is a segment called “We Hear You”, in which we collect employee questions around our business strategy, and have a member of our Executive team address them at our weekly company Stand Up.
We continue to evolve and deliver cravable virtual brands for our restaurant partners. It’s true that we pilot some brands that don’t always land with consumers, but we continue to strive to make our brands better. We’re always working toward having the tastiest brands so our restaurant partners have the most success; when they win, we win!
