Pros

Benefits, PTO, holidays off, monthly food credit

Cons

Once was a thriving company during pandemic, however it is clearly struggling now since restaurants are less dependent on Nextbite's concepts. There are leaders in place that do not have experience or knowledge. Leaders that continue to make decesions that do not make sense and the aftermath of it quickly needs to be covered by the rest of the teams. Lack of communication in various departments. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Mass layoffs have taken place in the recent few months. This isn't due to preperation for possible recession like they have been trying to paint. Every conept that has been attempted to launch has come back failing with unhappy partners and bad reviews.

Thanks for your input on your time at Nextbite. The online ordering industry continues to grow and we’re excited to remain a market leader in this space. The past six months or so have been difficult for many start-ups at our stage and we’ve had to make some difficult business decisions that affected our staff size in the changing VC landscape. Like many companies facing similar challenges, the result of those tough decisions is that Nextbite is better poised to adapt to a changing fundraising timeline amidst these new market realities, and better enabled to focus on a quicker path to profitability. Over the last few months, we’ve prioritized alignment, focus, and clear communication around what Nextbite will achieve over the coming months, and making sure our teams are set up to be successful. It’s never easy to adapt to significant business changes such as these, and we’ll continue to prioritize communication. In fact, one of my favorite initiatives we’ve rolled out in the past few weeks is a segment called “We Hear You”, in which we collect employee questions around our business strategy, and have a member of our Executive team address them at our weekly company Stand Up. We continue to evolve and deliver cravable virtual brands for our restaurant partners. It’s true that we pilot some brands that don’t always land with consumers, but we continue to strive to make our brands better. We’re always working toward having the tastiest brands so our restaurant partners have the most success; when they win, we win! -Alex Canter
