- this company is not going to last another year. there have been four layoffs in the past year, and funding is so tight. if by chance work opportunities open up, please consider that it will most likely not be a long term employment arrangement. - layoffs suck here. they are extremely poorly managed. I was given no time to even say goodbye to everyone on slack - my account was deactivated within 15 minutes of being told I was being laid off. I know layoffs are a reality in the startup world but I'd love to at least keep my email and slack around for a bit since I may need to correspond with HR and get my coworkers' contact info. - upper management had seemingly little ability to communicate vision and direction to middle managers and individual contributors. The continued focus on virtual kitchens after the pandemic calmed down always felt like a losing investment to me - yet the company never explained why this continued to be a priority over other potential ventures. - staff was predominated by people who - while very smart and capable of figuring anything out - had little in the way of experience in the product domain.
