It’s good to finally be working in an environment where I feel fairly compensated and my next steps are clear. I work well when I know what is expected of me and there are little barriers to this at Nextiva. I feel like I am set up well for success and they want to help you get there.

Cons

Lots of positivity which can sometimes mean not enough critical thinking. I like the positive environment but some measures to ensure everyone is performing could be a good addition. If you have mostly hard workers and a couple who don’t carry their own weight, then it can be demoralizing at times.

Pros

Everyone is really happy and positive, I’ve just started and I am surprised by how little negativity there is in the environment. It’s refreshing compared to my previous company where people were always complaining and focused on the downside. The team leaders are also very strong in their roles, they provide direction and guidance which is really helpful as a new employee. I’m excited about the future here.

There is a real team focus and family feel to the Nextiva company culture. It’s great to be a part of. I came from a start up with a cult like culture and I was relieved to be done with that when I got to Nextiva. There are events, support, learning opportunities etc. but you’re not forced into anything. It’s positive and we’re able to do our work and leave when other obligations come up.

Cons

The career planning is almost non-existent which is understandable because growth and change are constant but we lose our young team members because they can’t see what their next step is.
