Pros

I knew I’d be at Nexus for the long-haul on my very first day when my manager spent over an hour with me discussing my career ambitions and where I saw myself and my life (just in general) in the next 5-10 years. Then we immediately started working out a plan for me to achieve those ambitions within the company. I’ve never experienced that kind of treatment anywhere, and I think it needs to become SOP at every company.

Cons

It’s pretty challenging at first. I would definitely say there’s a learning curve. But once you get the hang of things, it becomes like second nature.

So much to learn, so little time in the day! There’s just so much to learn as a case fulfillment coordinator. You’ll be coordinating independent medical reviews until you’re blue in the face, but you’ll learn a lot along the way. If you’re interested in professional development, this is the place to be.

Cons

Meeting tight deadlines can be stressful. Management likes to stay on top of you which adds to the stress.

Pros

Good hours with even better overtime. Some may see the extra overtime as negative. All I see are the extra digits that show up on my paycheck. Work/life balance may suffer a little, but I’ve been dealt a worst hand in a previous job so I’m not complaining.

Cons

As mentioned, the overtime pays well but it also takes away from the work life balance.
