Flexibility, Work-life balance, continuous improvement, love it!
Pros
I have a great boss who is family-oriented. I think there's a lot of transparency and communications are excellent, at least within my department. There is flexibility in terms of work schedule and opportunities to work from home for many groups. I don't travel frequently which is uncharacteristic for my role (but good for me). The company is always looking to improve where they can, and this mentality comes top down from upper management, so it's generally taken seriously. Office culture in Houston is great...lots of young people and constant activities planned. Casual dress every day now. Great place for highly motivated, disciplined, intelligent and fun people! Not a good place for slackers....these people work hard to play hard. Training and development in my department is taken seriously, even for those who want to leave the department or the company.
Cons
Not all groups are like mine...so not everyone has this experience. The HR department could use a little work...they don't seem to have their mess together half the time. Benefits are just "ok". Every location has a different culture, which is fine, but you need to understand this when applying.
