There are no pros to working at this college. It was the worst experience I ever had in my academic career.

Cons

Extremely low morale due to administration's refusal to settle contract for 8 years. Faculty voted no confidence, yet board renews president. Non tenured jobs last no longer than 2 years, sometimes only 1 year -- don't relocate to work here. Full-time faculty teaching load = 18 hrs/week, unbelievable! Very little remedial support for unprepared students. No respect for faculty's academic achievements. You are easily replaced.

Work/life balance is ok. Many talented, excellent educators and administrators and support staff.

Cons

Unless you are a full time faculty member, you won't be treated well. Leadership from the very top is non-existent. Every dept is a silo, trying to outshine the others. The culture is poison. Don't waste your time.
