The title says it all. The COE is more concerned with appearances than how the company actually runs. She'll have a conniption about coats on chairs or god forbid the receptionist has anything on her desk, but refuses to have any kind of rules and regulations written down. Upper management changes how they want things done on the daily and all the other employees know "just to roll with it". If you have any kind of work ethic be prepared to take on other's work because everyone is always champing at the bit to throw their work on other people.
And don't get me started on the rest of the staff. You'll be hard pressed to find anyone with a genuine personality. They are all too concerned with talking about each other any chance they get. It's like high school all over again.
This is probably the worst office setting I've ever worked in. So if your wanting to work in a setting where you will be constantly talked down to then talked about, then if might be the place for you.
***Edit*** I just had to add that you can tell what kind of place this is by the way they respond to the negative reviews. That snarky demeanor is exactly how the upper management acts on a daily basis.
