Pros

-Autonomy in and out of the classroom -Consistent and valuable professional development -Clear goals and measures -Each campus has it's own feel and different paths to achieve results -You are surrounded by all different personalities and hard working adults, yet all on the same journey to provide a strong education and immense opportunities for students

Cons

-Time commitment is rather large - There's an 'all hands on deck' mentality where staff is asked to step up and lead a myriad of jobs other than teaching

Pros

This is a great place to work if you believe that all students deserve a high-quality education and you're willing to put in the effort to make it happen. You'll work with like-minded people who believe in their students and want to improve the quality of education in Chicago. The students and staff are amazing which makes for a phenomenal school culture.

Cons

Be prepared for long work days and working on the weekends. Staff not very racially diverse.

Pros

Noble is all about innovation and responding to student and teacher needs. The academic and emotional needs of students and staff are priorities. Teachers have opportunities to grow, collaborate, observe and become better at what they do. Students are loved, challenged and engaged. It's not easy; it if was easy everyone would be doing it.

Cons

Yes to the reviews that it is hard work, long days, etc. Your reward is seeing students make up for for years of lost education. Each campus is run differently. That autonomy is a good thing, but do your homework to make sure you match yourself to a campus that shares your professional values and that matches your beliefs about students' abilities to grow and improve.
