Pros

Great facility with some really smart people...If you are early in your career it is a great place to have mentors. If you are later in your career, watch out

Cons

Never seen so much "politics". If you are one of "The Club" you don't have to worry about security and your future. If you just want to do your job and be excellent at it watch out as you need to work the system. Company needs to hold employees more accountable and responsible for their actions. Too many people not doing much but "riding" their big salaries and benefits. New business is basically nil. Too many BD people been there for years with no quantifiable results. Some "Shared Services" department are staffed way out of proportion to the size of the company.

Pros

When I first started work at Noblis, I felt very good about working in the best interest of the public. I am proud of many of my accomplishments during my employment. Over the past few years that sense of pride in ones work has been eroded by changing company mandates.

Cons

Of all of the places I have ever worked, the extent of cronyism found at Noblis is beyond belief. Though there is a so called performance review process, it is widely known throughout the company that salary increases, bonuses, and promotions are preordained long before the appraisal process concludes.

Too much "work life balance" is not a good thing

Pros

- You may realistically work 35 hours a week. - Pay is generally competitive, especially given the workload. - In general the people are kind and respectful. - 401k match is very, very good.

Cons

- Office politics is an unbelievable inhibitor to real productivity. - Pushing "work life balance" as your corporate culture attracts a specific type of employee. If you want to actually grow in your career at a fast pace go elsewhere. - There are a slew of older incompetent employees with high ranks solely due to how long they've been at the company. This happens when a company doesn't have the courage to fire useless employees. - Bureaucracy, bureaucracy, bureaucracy.
