In many ways working at Nordeus is my dream job, here's why: - work in game development: this is my personal preference, though - work on a product that is (passionately) used by and loved by millions of people - work with highly smart and talented people, very easy to communicate my ideas to others and always learning from them - work in a very informal and relaxed (and fun!) environment, where everyone is highly motivated and well-meaning - no egos, no politics, no "bossy" managers, etc. everyone is equal, and everyone can be heard. the founders of the company are working with us every day, and they are very down to earth guys and always readily available - AMAZING perks, like best equipment, paid lunch, regular (amazing!) team building events and trips, etc. - best salaries on the market, big yearly bonuses
Cons
While we do have fun here and spend time messing around, there is work to be done as it's not easy staying at the top in the industry, and sometimes putting in some extra hours is needed (I'm not talking ridiculous hours here, it's like hour or two extra several days a month) . People looking for laid back job where they'll just sit out every day behind their computer and get their paycheck at the end of the month won't be satisfied here. On the other hand, the work is very interesting and challenging, so it's never hard for me to do it.
