Pros

There is definitely opportunity for growth with Nordstrom! Some complain how our commission works but as long as you're a "people person" with a sense of persuasiveness you'll do fine. -Uncapped commission -Well organized company -Room for growth -Appreciated by management -Great Coworkers -Friendly, mellow, work environment -Great products/ selection of products -Opportunity to move from store-to-store -Promotes within -Not too demanding physically

Cons

Sometimes managers can stress the fact that you need to be contacting customers when business is slow, but you can only call the customers so many times within a period, without nagging or coming off as annoying. If you're not into working hard, (straight commission) then be prepared to get chewed out and most likely fired. -Commission based (can be a GREAT thing if you have the heart of a sales person) -Management often nags and pressures you when business is slow

Pros

friendly environment, great clothes, freedom to make decisions

Cons

commision can make some people mean, some customers are not friendly, people get promoted based on sales, not actual leadership abilities
