Pros

You can make as much money as youd like if you really push yourself there is room to make a big profit. They are really good about keeping their employees and if you ever leave their re-hire process is amazing and quick.

Cons

Some departments are very competitive, and it takes having a strong customer base to really make it a full time profitable job.

Pros

Depending on your work ethic and the commission rate in your department, Nordstrom pays very well. Management is flexible with schedules. Food is catered for employees on sale days. As it's been said here before, build up a client list, and you've got it made.

Cons

My feet still hurt. Working there means you need to be stylish, and stylish shoes are not comfortable. If you have closing shifts, be ready to clean up after all of your coworkers and their customers.

Pros

Promote from within, strong sense of a large family business, pretty good discount, Extensive sales and management training, good support system

Cons

Long hours as management and dependent on the department you work in, sometimes the sales employees make more than the managers do.
