Pros

Good benefits, incentives for your sales quota

Cons

Commission base, if you don't meet your quota than you are going to get fire. Yes retail is driven by sales but commission is unfair when you have your coworkers stealing customers or get mad because you took one of their customers

Pros

I feel confident that I am valued, not just for my hard work, but for the unique qualities and ideas I bring to the company. I find it rewarding to learn how to run a business in an industry for which I have so much passion.

Cons

You must be a hard-worker and feel truly committed to your work because the busy times of the year are demanding of your time, patience, and energy!

Pros

Discount! Having everything be on sale the moment you decide to shop is always a good thing. That is until your monthly bill comes. It is easier to justify buying a new par of shoes or bag when you know you are getting it at a discounted prices.

Cons

Very vertical management structure. The company operates under the idea of a reverse pyramid. The higher your level, expertise, etc, the lower you are on the pyramid. The concept takes some time getting used to because we are all trying to climb the corporate ladder.
