Pros

There are many opportunities to try different things. If you work in Finance, and you're interested in Marketing, you can go there. The 'entrepreneurial' culture is very strong. The open door policy is real. New ideas are always welcome.

Cons

It is not easy to move up in the organization, unless you move up through the sales floor. There is not a lot of flexibility with hours, work at home, job sharing, part time opportunities, etc. Also, the insurance benefits are not great.

Pros

If you are retail sales savvy, then there is great opportunity to make money in commission.

Cons

Nepotism and favoritism ran rampant amid certain departments. Also an employee should feel secure in knowing that a manager will treat him or her in a respectful manner in front of other employees or customers. Work became almost unbearable at times because of certain managers unfair and unethical behavior. The worst part was knowing if there was any complaint made, nothing would be done to resolve the situation; in fact it might have made it worse.
