Pros
-Good benefits even for part time employees. -Flexible scheduling. (Also a downfall) -Decentralized management style lets you make some key decisions on your own. -You learn a lot about time management which will help you in any career path you choose. -Nordstrom is a very well respected and well known company, so having it on your resume will never hurt.
Cons
-Nearly impossible to move up in the company unless you plan on making Nordstrom your career choice. -Management can be uneducated. -You deal with A LOT of customers who feel entitled and have no problem being rude. -The "customer is always right" policy can really annoy any employee with common sense. -Teams get absolutely no say in what new members will be brought on. -There's never any set schedule, its not a "Monday - Friday" type of job and you have to work every weekend and holiday unless you ask for the time off a month in advance.
